The following is a collection of data prepared for the Paris World Fair in 1900. It was prepared by W. E. B. Du Bois (African American scholar, civil rights activist, and writer) to display the economic and social progress of African Americans since the end of the civil war and the beginning of emancipation. These photos were all found in the Library of Congress archives. All titles are originals and each photo has a link which can be followed back to the Library of Congress website for more information on that specific photo.
